2016-17

Tay Landscape Partnership: Traditional Building Skills Training Project

For this TLP funded project, we successfully delivered a package of work experience and training opportunities for young people, from several organisations including; Perth High School, Perth College, Young People Services (P&K Council), PKAVS & Perth Six Circle. The work comprised rebuilding part of a boundary wall on Megginch Estate which had partially collapsed, using traditional materials and techniques. We worked with a great team of experienced and respected tutors; Andrew Bradley Stonemason, Richard Fraser (Limerich) and Hans Norling (Masonry & Lime).

Townscape Heritage Projects

Over the last 10 years, we have delivered 63 one-day seminars and workshops for 716 delegates in; Aberdeen, Inverness, Rothesay, Perthshire, Cupar, Kirriemuir, Keith, Glasgow, Elgin, Jedburgh & Campbeltown.  83% of delegates rated these 'excellent' overall (17% rated them 'good' overall) based on 93% delegate feedback rate (correct at 08/23). 
Courses include; traditional building  maintenance, lime pointing, sash and case window repair, traditional roof repair, dampness, structural repairs, energy efficiency, tenements, lime harling, stone decay and repair, traditional shopfronts, plasterwork.....and more! 
2018

Perth & Kinross Heritage Trust: Traditional Building Skills Training Project

For this PKHT funded project, we worked with St John's RC Academy and Perth High School to provide real work experience placements. Over the course of 3 weeks, small teams of S3-S6 pupils repaired part of the historic walled garden walls at the old Murray Hospital (now used by PKAVS) under the expert tuition of Richard Fraser (Limerich), Andrew Bradley Stonemason & Craig Frew.
2013 & 2019

Building Limes Forum Ireland

Craig has developed and maintained valued links with the Building Limes Forum (BLF) Ireland, initially through contacts as an active member (and previously a committee member & technical secretary) of the BLF UK. Opportunities have arisen to participate in, and contribute to, the delivery of training courses and events in Ireland, including lime events at Drimnagh Castle, Portumna Castle and Russborough House.
